Getting older affects us all in some strange ways. Personally I think it has lent me a rather dapper appearance and a great wealth of wisdom with each passing year. In my wife’s case she likes to buy plants.
I don’t mean a little palm tree every few months. I mean 10 flipping great big bushes every weekend. She’s gone mad for the vegetation, freaked out with the foliage and quite possibly lost her marbles in the undergrowth. What can I do but join in?
Maybe I could find out about bonsai tree care. I always quite fancied the idea of getting one of these tiny trees. Then I got one and it turned to be a little bit pathetic. Are they all like that or did I just look after it badly? I always thought of them as being kind of funky so maybe I could give them another try. If they are good enough for Mr Miyagi then that’s fine by me.
I thought about lighting up the garden with some classic Halloween lights but then I realised that I have never seen Halloween lights before. What are they all about, are they spooky or what? I think I’ll stick to non frightening lights if you don’t mind.
I also need some new clothes to wear while gardening. With so many plants out there it takes about half an hour just to water them all, so I need to look the part while I do it. For some reason a Free People tunic caught my eye. Would this be suitable attire in which to attend to my bonsai trees in my well lit garden? The pictures look nice but would dirt show up on them too clearly? Maybe I’ll stick to my cut off jeans and Scotland t-shirt.
Oh, I found another option. Isn’t Mossy oak camo a line of camouflage clothing? Wouldn’t it be great to lurk in my garden without anyone noticing me while I water and prune things ? Of course, the whole place needs to be a bit greener before this would work so I’ll need to hold on a bit to let the new plants grow.
