I am just back from a spell in the the dentist’s chair and all I can say is ouch!. You would think that in the 21st century we would have a better and less painful way of fixing our teeth, don’t you think? Let’s see if we can come up with some ideas to get us started.
First of all, I hate those bright lights they shine in your eyes. Actually, this is a good point to ask if anyone else closes their eyes when in the dentist’s chair. If I am being honest I always feel a bity weird when I do this but I hate sitting there and looking into the evil dentist’s cold, soulless stare. Maybe if they used a more cheerful compact flourescent lamp I would feel happier about keeping my eyes open.
Would landscape gardeners make better dentists that dentists do? I only ask because I think that it would be interesting to see them use their landscaping ideas in our mouths. You could have a water feature under your tongue or maybe a bit of crazy paving on your molars if you liked the idea.
Of course, when it is time for some fillings you could ask for some mosaic art on your teeth. This is a fun way of making them look more interesting and personally I would go for a golden tiled look, like in the cathedral in Venice. I could turn my teeth into a tourist attraction and charge people to take photos of my canines.
What about if I asked my dentist to use some interesting paint colors on my teeth. I would like to have blue teeth, I think. Apart from looking cool this would have the added benefit of allowing me to not brush them very often. I would just go back to the dentist’s chair for a touch up on the paint job every month. On second thoughts, that’s not such a good idea after all.
