Don’t Let Cold Weather Let You Down

What a fantastic summer that was, eh? Here in the southern hemisphere we are about to slip seamlessly into autumn. In fact ,we might already have done, as I can never work out what day the seasons change. Anyway, the sun has bid a cheery farewell and it’s getting blooming cold now. What can we do to stop the cold weather making us miserable until next summer? Maybe I could start dabbling in the heady.

I had an internet problem last week. The service was down all week and I suffered from severe withdrawal symptoms which left me wondering what people did back in the old day when they couldn’t pop online to look at that Gangnam video again or check out what mischief their friends were up to on Facebook. What other essentials of modern life might we not be able to live with these days? Do you realise.

It is a long time since I have studied anything other than the weather forecast. This isn’t something which bothers me, as I hated school and couldn’t wait to get out of there and into a poorly paid and crushingly boring job. I have never confessed this before to anyone but I used to write comedy scripts for TV shows. Bad ones. When I worked in a dimly lit office in a faceless bank branch every day at work was a giddy adventure offering thrills, spills and three varieties of hot drinks in the office coffee machine.
