Doing Up the Home in Style

I have been thinking of sprucing up my house for a while now and decided that it was time to have a look to see what is on offer to a person of taste and discretion these days.

Home theater seating. I am not sure if I am the only person who notices this, but it seems that we all complain to get a cinema in town and then never go once one opens. I have now seen this happen in three different places I have lived in. As the opening date comes close everyone talks about going to the new cinema and won’t it be great and I’ll see you there in the queue to buy over priced popcorn. Then when it opens no one even bothers mentioning it again. I think at heart we all love the movies but we want something easier that we don’t need to leave the house to see.

Beer mirrors. If you have been blessed with hair as unruly as mine you too could benefit from these alcoholic reflective devices. I think they are actually meant to be used in bars, but I reckon combing your home in the morning could be a lot more fun if you can look at a picture of frothy pint at the same time.  You could combine it with a pool table to iron your shirt on and cigarette vending machine specially adapted to dispense your cornflakes.

Above ground pools. This item really caught my eye because I guess that it if there are things explicitly named as above ground pools there might also be underground pools, right? Can you imagine a secret subterranean pool leading from the kitchen to the bedroom? If I am wrong and they don’t actually exist then I would like to implore the pool designers of the world to start making them.

Camping stoves. I can’t be the only person who used to pretend to camp out in their bedroom, can I? Can I? Ok, so for the benefit of anyone who never done this. You need to pack everything you need for a camping trip of a few hours and then turn your bedsheets into an improvised tent. Taking a stove to my bedroom would save living on tuna sandwiches for the whole “trip”.
