The arrival of a new year never seems to lose that magic thrill which it has always held for me. I have to confess that I still sit looking at my watch as midnight arrive and the calendar switches over to the new year. So what will 2013 have in store for us all.
Will road marking paint play a big part in your new year? I don’t know about you but it might be something I come across. You see, they have just finished tarmacking (if that is even a word) my street. This means that I would expect them to paint the road at some point in the not too distant future. To be honest, I quite liked the old fashioned cobbled look but I guess we need to live in 2013 now with modern, painted roads.
Will 2013 be the year of the araucana? Depends what it is, I suppose.
I guess Chinese antiques become more expensive with each passing year. After all, in 2013 they are another year older than they were in 2012. Maybe this coming year will see you dip your toes in the world of Ming dynasty vases and, err, other Chinese antiques. I would really like to buy some old stuff and make my house look classy but I just wouldn’t know where to start.
It might be time to lose some weight but is the Beyonce Knowles’ diet right for me? I am not really sure that I would want to look exactly like her. Is there a similar diet from a guy who I might want to emulate? I have always wanted to look like James Bond but there doesn’t seem to be any sort of James Bond diet around. This could be a great success if some enterprising business person thought of it. I think it would involve a lot of fine food, a few martinis and maybe the odd kebab. In the books he loves to eat meat but the 007 films seem strangely devoid of scenes of our hero devouring plates of food. Still, it sounds like a good way to start the year.
