I think I mentioned awhile back that I had some builders in doing some work on the house. Well, they are gone now but the work isn’t done. The blooming carpenter disappeared without putting in the windows in the attic or the stairs to even get up there. The result is that I current have about half a dozen pigeons living in it and I can’t even get up there to shoo them away in a threatening manner.
Anyway, this made me think that I will do my own home improvements in the future, and what better way to start than with a bit of good old fashioned PVC extrusion tooling? Eh? Ok, I don’t know what it is either and I ‘m not really sure that it is even to do with home improvements but it sounds like the kind of phrase DIY experts use to impress and confuse lazy, incompetent people like me with.
Ah, but if only I could go on a locksmith course I could at least fit locks with confidence. Actually, some ruffians broke into my house a year or so ago and I then put some new bolts on. I am not sure that they would stand up to much force but I was quite proud that I managed to drill holes in the wall and door and then put them on almost straight.
The use of general curved glass sounds a bit more complex than I would be happy to take on to be honest. Could I use it to keep those pesky pigeons out? I really have never come across a use for curved glass before but maybe I could fit curved windows that refract light, although quite why I would want to even do that I am not sure.
When it comes to painting or papering the wall I reckon I have finally found a job I can do. I used to have a shop here so I have loads of old egg trays. Could I just stick these to the walls? I could call it modern art and have myself a hip and trendy house with little effort. This sounds good to me, although if you happen to come across that carpenter anywhere please do send him back over here.
