How do you know that it’s time for a new bedroom look? How about when the paint is flaking off the walls and you are embarrassed to invite guests into it? I don’t want to make it sound too dramatic but my house had a few dampness issues a while back and my boudoir was the most badly affected room. So what can I do about it now?
Let’s start with some room decorating ideas, shall we? I must confess that I am pretty hopeless at trying to picture what my bedroom could look like with a new decoration. I would quite like a Japanese style or maybe a Mongolian one, could anyone help me with that?
Maybe I will undergo a regression to my youth and look at teen room ideas instead. Do they still sell Prefab Sprout posters and lava lamps anywhere? Here’s a good point for you; how many of you can remember what your room looked like when you were a teenager? I can just about imagine the blue walls and the cream curtains and in fact I reckon if I close my eyes I can recall the sensation of lying in bed reading the newspaper or writing poetry. Hey, I’d forgotten what a sad teen I was . Good job I have changed since then, eh?
Don’t chaise lounge chairs sound great? I have never sat (or lounged) on one of them but I reckon that they must be pretty comfortable. Even saying the name almost makes me drop off to sleep. Maybe I could get a couple for my new look room and sit on them when I am suffering from insomnia. Speaking of which, did you know that a century ago people slept 20% more than we do now? I always knew that I was born in the wrong generation and now I have found the definitive proof. Now where did I put my time machine and hot water bottle?
I was looking at some tropical bedspreads but then I realised that I now live in a tropical country so I should really be looking at something like arctic bedspreads or maybe tundra bedsheets. Do these things even exist? I reckon it would be refreshing on a hot, sticky night to slip into bed surrounded by polar bears and floating ice packs.
